Calcite with Scheelite and Fluorite
Hunan province, China
Beautiful cabinet-size display specimen of many sparkling calcite crystals. It is hard to appreciate them unless the specimen is seen in real life where it can be rotated in the light.
The many, tiny scheelite crystals fluoresce brilliant blue in short-wave UV (shown in right-hand photo), while the calcite has a very pale yellowish response.
The fluorite crystals are visible with a hand lens. They do not appear to fluoresce.

Calcite crystals to 1/2".

A couple of the copper xtls are fairly well formed, with some definite xtl faces evident at 10x mag.
