The MiniVID is a special type of digital camera.  It fits right into the eyepiece tube of a microscope.  The USB version sends pictures to your computer via USB cable.  The RCA version sends pictures to your TV/VCR by way of its RCA-type "video-in" cable.

This makes the Mini-VID very useful in classroom situations or lectures.

The 5.1 MP USB version uses a CMOS sensor that has good sensitivity in low light.   (1.2 lux is an EV of only about -1.)

Both versions include an adapter ring that lets it fit in both 23 and 30 mm eyepiece tubes, the two standard sizes.

You'll need a microscope in order to use the Mini-VID.

Bring the tiny, hidden world of the microscope to a large screen.
